Weird Thrillers #2 - Alex Toth art

Weird Thrillers v1 #2, 1951 - Alex Toth contributes to this issue with a historical mystery: what has caused the disappearance of famous men throughout the ages? Small panels and heavy dialogue throughout the story leave little room for expansive artwork. Toth's efforts are fairly conservative, made more so by Sy Barry's streamlined inking. This story was later reprinted in Nightmare v2 #10. Other artists in this issue include Murphy Anderson and Gene Colan. This is number 1 of 1 Weird Thrillers issues with Toth art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Toth or Weird Thrillers issues. See also this blog's Toth checklist.
