Fightin' Army #92 - Steve Ditko art

Fightin' Army #92
Fightin' Army v1 #92, 1970 - After Guam is recently secured by the Americans, a young private discovers a few Japanese soldiers remain. Steve Ditko employs linework and pattern in visually interesting ways. The opening scene is relatively mundane, but enhanced by parallel-lined backgrounds. The artist's best panels occur during the frenzied attack of enemy stragglers (see interior page below). Ditko's last effort on the series is generally his best. Other artists in this bronze age war comic include Rocco Mastroserio and Sam Glanzman. This is 4 of 4 Fightin' Army issues by Ditko.
