Flash #294 - Jim Starlin art

The Flash v1 #294, 1981 - Firestorm begins as the series' backup feature with Jim Starlin handling the penciling chores. When Professor Martin goes to the South Pacific, Ronnie Raymond has to curtail his superhero-ing for now. The story artwork appears sloppy for the most part, with little help from Bob Wiacek's loose inks. Although there's some variety within the panels, Starlin's layouts still fall below his usual standards. Other artists in this issue include Dick Giordano and Don Heck (art & cover). This is number 1 of 3 Flash issues with Starlin art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Starlin or Flash issues. See also this blog's Jim Starlin checklist or Top 10 Starlin comics.
