Planet of the Apes #25 - Marshall Rogers art

Planet of the Apes v1 #25, 1976 - This issue features part three of the adaptation of Battle for the Planet of the Apes. Sonny Trinidad is the principal story artist, but Marshall Rogers inexplicably does the opening splash. The artist recaps Earth's disastrous past with a effective transition of modern to melting skyscrapers (see interior page below). This in turn nicely segues into the central characters below. Artfully designed, the page outshines the rest of the story art. Other artists in this issue include Ken Barr, Yong Montano and Dino Castrillo. This is number 1 of 1 Planet of the Apes issues with Rogers art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Rogers or Planet of the Apes issues. See also this blog's Rogers checklist or Top 10 Rogers comics.
