Strange Tales v1 #155 featuring Nick Fury & Doctor Strange, 1967 - Fury and his Shield agents must house and protect the Q-Ray, a machine capable of mass destruction. Jim Steranko continues to draw the characters in Kirbyesque style, while trying out his own rendering techniques. His layout, while appealing, are more conservative than the previous issue. The story's highlight is Nick Fury's narrow escape from a massive explosion (page 7), displaying Steranko's penchant for intricacy. This story was later reprinted in Shield #5. Other artists in this issue include Marie Severin. This is number 5 of 18 Strange Tales issues with Steranko art and/or covers.
