Love Romances v1 #96, 1961 - Poorly paced and constructed, Jack Kirby expends little effort on this story of an art student in love. Backgrounds are sparse and page layouts border on the monotonous. Vince Colletta does a passable job with the inks, not dissimilar from his solo story in the same issue. Despite all the text blurbs, Kirby's cover is immediately more recognizable than the interiors. Kudos to Frank Giacioa for maintaining the integrity of the original drawing. Other artists in this silver age comic include Vince Colletta and Bob Forgione. This is 8 of 18 Love Romances issues by Kirby.
