G.I. Joe #61 - Marshall Rogers art

G.I. Joe, A Real American Hero v1 #61, 1987 - If not for the credit on the opening page, the artwork would be unidentifiable as Marshall Rogers. His contribution (credited as "storyteller") is so scant, he may have only provided rough layouts. Page fourteen contains an odd sequence of small panels: four men searching separate rooms and reporting their findings. The panels curiously rotate in sequence, but closer inspection reveals that they are all duplicates. Inker Danny Bulanadi tends to overpower his pencillers rather than complement them, and this issue is no exception. Mike Zeck's capable cover is the issue's only saving grace. This is number 1 of 8 G.I. Joe issues with Rogers art and/or covers.
