Durango Kid #15 - Frank Frazetta art

Durango Kid #15, 1952 - Dan Brand and Tipi save a white wolf from the slow, painful death of a steel trap, and the animal reciprocates. Frank Frazetta nears the end of his phenomenal run of this series. This particular issue reminds us of his supremely skillful rendering of animals. The wolf is convincingly accurate in its physical features, while instilled with emotions and expressions. Interestingly, Frazetta takes the wolf's head on page four, panel five and redraws it on page six, panel two without detracting from the story. This is number 15 of 16 Durango Kid issues with Frazetta art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Frazetta or Durango Kid issues.
