Durango Kid #15 - Frank Frazetta art

Durango Kid v1 #15, 1952 - Saving a white wolf from the slow death of a steel trap, Dan Brand and Tipi are surprised to see the animal reciprocate the favor. Frank Frazetta nears the end of his phenomenal run on the series. This particular issue showcases his supremely skillful rendering of animals. The wolf is convincingly accurate in its features and anatomy, while instilled with emotions and expressions. Interestingly, Frazetta takes the wolf's head on page four panel five, repeating it on page six panel two without detracting from the story. Other artists in this issue include Joe Certa (Durango Kid stories). This is number 15 of 16 Durango Kid issues with Frazetta art and/or covers.
