Atari Force Special v1 #1, 1986 - Talented as they are, artists Marshall Rogers and John Byrne produce a largely mediocre cover design for this issue. An assemblage of the title characters, the layout is crowded and poorly balanced. Rogers' pencils on the lead story aren't much better, displaying an incompatibility with Ricardo Villagran's inks. Page fifteen contains an elaborate multi-panel sequence, perhaps the only familiar hint of Rogers' style.
