Durango Kid #2 - Frank Frazetta art

Durango Kid #2
Durango Kid v1 #2, 1949 - When indians ready to attack a fort full of settlers, Dan Brand and Tipi try to negotiate a resolution. Frank Frazetta's muscular figures fill the bulk of the pages, rendered in fine detail along with the faces and backgrounds. Special attention seems placed in a few key panels, such as Lt. George Washington's cabin (page 1) and an enemy tribe's headdresses (see interior page below). These efforts and more contribute to giving the story a feel of historical authenticity. This story was later reprinted in White Indian #11. This issue includes artwork by Joe Certa (Durango Kid stories). This is 2 of 16 Durango Kid issues by Frazetta. /// Frazetta gallery
