Four Color Comics v2 #308
Walt Disney's Donald Duck / Four Color Comics v2 #308, 1951 - In this elaborate caper, Donald and his nephews vacation in Europe only to run into international spies. The setting changes quickly from the Mediterranean to a bullfighting ring in Spain. Carl Barks' quick pacing and varied layouts are appropriately thrilling. Like his previous issue, the artist combines both human and animal characters within the same story. The juxtaposition seems odd, but it would inspire the creators of Howard the Duck two decades later. This story was later reprinted in Donald Duck Adventures #2. This is 18 of 43 Donald Duck issues by Barks.
