Thunder Agents #1 - Wally Wood art & cover

Thunder Agents v1 #1 tower silver age 1960s comic book cover art by Wally Wood
Wally Wood
T.h.u.n.d.e.r. Agents v1 #1, 1965 - Menthor, Noman, Dynamo and the Thunder Squad all make their first appearance in separately told stories, then band together for the finale. Created by Wally Wood, the artist takes on the bulk of the issue, illustrating three of the tales. Each is exuberantly drawn, with plenty of frenetically paced action. The opening splash of the last story is especially memorable, with its intricate machinery and introduction of the winsome Iron Maiden. Other artists in this issue include Mike Sekowsky, George Tuska and Reed Crandall. This is number 1 of 18 Thunder Agents issues with Wood art and/or covers (not including reprints).
