Western Gunfighters v2 #4 - Barry Windsor Smith art

Western Gunfighters v2 #4
Western Gunfighters v2 #4, 1971 - Combining new material with old, this western title features the original Ghost Rider, Gunhawk and the Apache Kid. An early Barry Smith tale stands out, probably one of his least known efforts. His graphic, almost abstract style is consistent with other early works for Marvel. Interestingly, the story's Native American hero bears a strong likeness to Smith's Conan the Barbarian. This is the artist's one and only bronze age western. Other artists in this bronze age comic include Dick Ayers, John Romita and Tom Sutton. Cover by Herb Trimpe. This is 1 of 1 Western Gunfighters v2 issues by Smith. /// original page
