Roy Thomas confirmed that Wallace Wood wrote his Dr. Doom stories but Stan Lee asked Roy to touch up the dialogue a bit to give it the Marvel "ring." Roy was shocked and embarrassed when the book came out credited to him. It was no surprise Wood left not long after.
