Hercules Unbound #6 - Wally Wood art

Hercules Unbound v1 #6, 1976 - Attacked by the minions of Ares, Hercules and company travel to Stonehenge to confront their master. The artwork is energetic, punctuated by large panels and excellent figure drawing. Wally Wood continues to assert his own style while delineating the pencils. In contrast to all the action, the opening splash's portrait of Kevin and his dog Basil (killed the previous issue) is poignantly drawn. Wood's inking seems especially sensitive throughout. This is number 6 of 8 Hercules Unbound issues with Wood art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Wood or Hercules Unbound issues.
