Fantastic Four v1 #79, 1968 - The Thinker's android runs amok, endangering Alicia Masters and the very human Ben Grimm. Despite plenty of action, Jack Kirby's best moments occur in ordinary, less frenetic settings. On the opening splash, a newly normalized Thing ponders his decision, contrasting against the congratulatory mood. Even better is Kirby's full page of Reed and Susan Richards, capturing a poignant portrayal of their love for one another. The tone and nuance is not unlike the artist's early work for romance comics. This is 79 of 116 Fantastic Four issues by Kirby.
