Fantastic Four v1 #77, 1968 - After sending the Silver Surfer back to Earth, the FF remain in Sub-Atomica to confront the Psycho-man. Jack Kirby's multi-paneled cover divides into six organic shapes depicting the various characters. Though adequately drawn, it contains probably more information than necessary. Inside, two splashes accompany the story pages, establishing settings and relative scale. Most impressive is the artist's inventiveness in designing complex machines and architecture for a microscopic world (see interior page below). This is 77 of 116 Fantastic Four issues by Kirby.
