Strange Tales v1 #179featuring Warlock, 1975 - Taken prisoner on the Death Ship, Warlock now awaits his fate at the hands of the Universal Church of Truth. Jim Starlin delivers another exceptional effort, starting with his breathtaking splash. The layouts are impeccable, varying in design at nearly every page turn. Even small panels are carefully executed and contribute to a cohesive whole. Starlin's pencils and inks are credited, but Steve Leialoha may have inked a few panels as well. Also noteworthy is the first appearance of Pip the Troll. This story was later reprinted in Warlock v2 #1. This is number 2 of 4 Strange Tales issues with Starlin art and/or covers.
