Machine Man v2 #1, 1984 - Machine Man awakens in the year 2020 and struggles to adjust to his new futuristic settings. This Jack Kirby creation from the bronze age gets a new lease on life, in large part due to Barry Smith's refreshing interpretation. Herb Trimpe's rough layouts provide a firm foundation, including two generous splash pages. Smith's inks provide an exceptional level of detail and craftsmanship, infusing the pages with his trademark neoclassical style. His intriguing cover is the first in a sequence, depicting Machine Man's head being slowly pieced together. This is number 1 of 4 Machine Man v2 issues with Smith art and/or covers.
