School-Day Romances v1 #1, 1949 - When Toni Gayle hangs out with her friend who works at the malt shop, an irate customer begins to make trouble for both of them. The most interesting part of this first issue is L. B. Cole's unusual cover. He inserts previous of the interior stories and frames them in decorative hearts. Although busy, his layout still seems orderly and attractive. Other artists in this issue include Norman Nodel.
