Young Allies (Comics) v1 #1, 1941 - A British agent gets captured and tortured by the Nazis. A group of kid adventurers called the Sentinels of Liberty intervene to rescue him. Led by Captain America's partner Bucky, they're soon joined by Toro, the Human Torch's sidekick. Together, they join the agent's secret mission. Each chapter in this first issue begins with an action-packed Jack Kirby splash. The story's intro (see interior page below) crams them together on a single page. Other artists in this issue include Syd Shores and Charles Nicholas.
