X-Men #11 - Jack Kirby art & cover

Jack Kirby
X-Men v1 #11, 1965 - Professor X and crew search for a powerful new being calling himself the Stranger, but Magneto and his Brotherhood of Evil Mutants find him first. Jack Kirby opens with an eerily quiet cover design. Inside, his story art easily manages the task of drawing multiple characters in different scenarios. As usual, his action-oriented style makes for compelling reading. High points include demonstrations of Cyclop's deadly optic beams (page 6) and the Stranger's star-spawned powers (page 10). This is number 11 of 17 X-Men issues with Kirby art and/or covers (not including reprints).
