Mister Miracle v1 #13, 1973 - Borrowing from the film The Perils of PaulineJack Kirby's cover places the title character front and center. While clever and direct, the overall layout is less impressive than usual. Inside, the hero's colleague Ted Brown is kidnapped and transported to the Himalayas by a Nazi war criminal. Kirby's art is vigorously drawn throughout, generally meeting expectations. On a disappointing note, the opening splash more of less replicates the cover. This is 13 of 18 Mister Miracle issues by Kirby. /// Kirby gallery
