True Bride-To-Be Romances v1 #17, 1956 - A domineering mother is theme to this particular Jack Kirby cover. The girl seems to have made her choice given the disappointed suitor behind her. The artist uses an interesting u-shaped layout that leads the eye from background to foreground and back again. Oddly enough, the mother seems disinterested with her daughter's decision. Other artists in this golden age first issue include Lee Elias, Bill Draut and Bob Powell.
