Donald Duck #44 - non-attributed Carl Barks cover

Carl Barks
Walt Disney's Donald Duck v1 #44, 1953 - Trying to keep his nephews warm through the night, Donald repurposes an inflatable boat into a gigantic hot water bottle. This non-attributed Carl Barks cover is concisely designed. All the elements needed to tell the story are included: icicles, outdoor thermometer and the day's newspaper warning of an upcoming freeze. This is number 31 of 43 Donald Duck issues with Barks art and/or covers (not including reprints). See today's posts or more Barks or Donald Duck issues. See also this blog's Carl Barks checklist.
