Batman Family #12 - Marshall Rogers art

Batman Family v1 #12, 1977 - In contrast to the previous issue, Marshall Rogers delivers a stunning effort for the Man-Bat back-up tale. The character unexpectedly transforms into a were-jaguar, leading to beautifully detailed scenes of his flight into the forest on pages 8-9 (see interior page below). Rogers' drawings are graphically pleasing throughout, further enhanced by Terry Austin's streamlined inks. This story was later reprinted in Best of DC #51. On a side note, the inside front cover has a (rarely seen?) Green Lantern Twinkies ad drawn by Neal Adams. Other artists in this issue include Jose Delbo, Vince Colletta, Irv Novick and Jim Aparo (cover). This is number 2 of 3 Batman Family issues with Rogers art and/or covers.
