In Starlin's defense, this was an "assist" as opposed to a full-on assignment. Compared to his Captain Marvel and Warlock a few years later, this issue is a disappointment. I appreciate your viewpoint though. Although not immediately noticeably after Romita's inks, I believe some of the penciling can be accredited to Starlin. A sketch he produced at the time is very similar to a whole page spread used in issue 114.
