Our Army at War #149 - Joe Kubert art & cover

Joe Kubert
Our Army at War v1 #149, 1964 - Targeted by the Nazis, can Sgt. Rock and Easy Company survive an onslaught designed to make them surrender? Despite what's presented on the cover, the story doesn't involve quicksand. In general, Joe Kubert's efforts show a tad less enthusiasm than previous covers. Still, his story pages meet expectations in both the layouts and sequencing. This story was later reprinted in Our Army at War #229. Other artists in this silver age comic include Henry Boltinoff and Jack Abel. This is 86 of 236 Our Army at War issues by Kubert.
