Western Crime Busters v1 #6, 1952 - Anticipating a bank robbery, Bob Dale, the sheriff of Canyon County begins to take preventative measures. In his first western tale, Wally Wood's inking demonstrates an acute sense of light and dark. On certain pages, the balance between the two increases interest in the layouts. Two larger panels also benefit also benefit from dramatic contrast (including the interior page below). Still, Wood's drawing skills leave much room for improvement. Other artists in this issue include Rex Maxon. This is number 1 of 4 Western Crime Busters issues with Wood art and/or covers.
