Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #258
Walt Disney's Comics and Stories v1 #258, 1962 - Through a valentine sent by the mail, the sorceress Magica De Spell brashly announces her threat to steal Uncle Scrooge's lucky dime. Carl Barks illustrates the tale with skillful ease, despite the lack of the usual visual climax. As an villain, Magica De Spell is one of Barks' most creative and interesting inventions. This story was later reprinted in Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #402 and Walt Disney Showcase #30. Other artists in this silver age comic include Paul Murry. This is 218 of 280 Walt Disney's Comics and Stories issues by Barks.
