Fantastic Four Annual #5 - Jack Kirby art & cover + 1st Psycho-Man

Jack Kirby
Fantastic Four Annual v1 #5, 1967 - Originating from a sub-atomic universe, Psycho-Man builds an emotion control weapon that will enslave everyone on Earth. Can the combined might of the FF, the Black Panther and the Inhumans stop him? With the increased page count, Jack Kirby has plenty of room for his artistry. The constant action and quick pacing is augmented by his kinetic drawings. His second splash page is perfectly placed, demonstrating the villain's unusual power. Kirby also contributes two more stories: a mostly forgettable three-page farce of Marvel's offices, and a powerfully drawn Silver Surfer tale (this story was later reprinted in Giant-Size Defenders #1). Kirby also contributes several pin-up pages of varying quality. This is 5 of 5 Fantastic Four annual issues by Kirby. /// key 1st appearance, 1st cover, 1st origin Psycho-Man
