Jack Kirby
Strange Tales v1 #94, 1962 - Two Jack Kirby stories reside in this issue. In the first, a band of alien space pirates arrive on Earth, while in the second, radioactive residue creates a super-intelligent, malevolent weed. Both are competently drawn, though it's interesting to compare the inking styles of Joe Sinnott and Dick Ayers. In a third tale, Steve Ditko presents the mystery of an unknown caller who claims to be from another world. There's a simplicity to his drawings and layouts, but an increased clarity as well. This story was later reprinted in Kull #15. Other artists in this silver age comic include Joe Sinnott. This is 27 of 74 Strange Tales issues by Kirby and 30 of 82 Strange Tales issues by Ditko
