Adventure Comics #496 - Alex Toth art, Neal Adams, Jack Kirby reprints

Adventure Comics #496
Adventure Comics v1 #496, 1983 - In part two of three chapters, the Challengers of the Unknown split into two teams, investigating leads on their earlier sabotaged plane. Alex Toth once again delivers a largely competent effort. His pencils are streamlined by Frank Giacoia, whose inks are less spontaneous. As before, Toth's strengths are in his page layouts and panel sequences. The digest also reprints Spectre #3 (art by Neal Adams) and Adventure Comics #77 (drawn by Jack Kirby). Other artists in this copper age digest include Gil Kane, Jim Mooney and Jim Aparo. This is 6 of 7 Adventure Comics issues by Toth. /// Toth gallery
