Marvel's Greatest Comics #41 - Jim Starlin cover, Jack Kirby reprint

Jim Starlin
Marvel's Greatest Comics v1 #41, 1973 - Reprinting the team's encounter with the Wanderer (Fantastic Four #54), this issue also sports a brand new Jim Starlin cover. The artist often employed portraiture within scenes for greater emotive effect. In this case, Starlin's youthful enthusiasm is tempered by Joe Sinnott's stiffly applied inks. Though more compelling than his previous cover, this one still displays more inexperience than skill. This is number 2 of 2 Marvel's Greatest Comics issues with Starlin art and/or covers.
