House of Mystery #70 - Jack Kirby art

House of Mystery v1 #70, 1958 - Fantastical creatures appear out of nowhere, panicking the populace of a big city, This story is tailor-made for Jack Kirby, whose imagination knows no bounds when it comes to inventing alien life-forms. Combining characteristics of know animals and insects, the artist leaves some familiarity with the readers. Kirby's illustrations are equally good, rendered in his trademark kinetic style. This story was later reprinted in DC Special #11. Other artists in this issue include Ruben Moreira. This is number 5 of 11 House of Mystery issues with Kirby art and/or covers (not including reprints). See today's posts or more Kirby or House of Mystery issues.
