Unknown Worlds of Science Fiction #2 - Alex Nino, Frank Brunner art

Unknown Worlds of Science Fiction v1 #2, 1975 - Frank Brunner draws the issue's prologue and epilogue, bookending a varied collection of stories inside. Not particularly special, his pages swipe quite a few panels from Neal Adams' work in other comics. Klaus Janson's inks only seem to reinforce the method. Other artists in this issue include Michael Kaluta, Bruce Jones, Rick Bryant, Rico Rival and Frank Robbins. Conversely, Alex Nino contributes an excellent splash for the inside front cover (see page above). While unrelated to the issue's contents, the scene nonetheless combines sci-fi and horror in a beautifully complex layout. This is number 1 of 3 Unknown Worlds of Science Fiction issues with Brunner art and/or covers and number 1 of 3 Unknown Worlds of Science Fiction issues with Nino art and/or covers.
