Weird Science-Fantasy #28 - Al Williamson, Wally Wood art

Weird Science-Fantasy v1 #28 ec comic book cover art by Al Feldstein
Weird Science-Fantasy #28
Weird Science-Fantasy v1 #28, 1955 - Finding an advanced civilization in ruins, spacemen from Earth pore through their records to determine the cause. Despite the numerous panels and large amount of dialogue, Wally Wood still delivers artwork that's carefully and expertly crafted. Technology and machinery abound in many of the panels. Wood's creative visualizations match the complexity of the story. Al Williamson illustrates the tale of a despondent young woman on a distant planet. Pining for her lover on Earth, she procures a spaceship for a million mile journey. Alien landscapes and futuristic buildings are plentiful and lovingly drawn. Like many Williamson stories, details are abundant and in many cases add an opulence to certain settings. These stories were later reprinted in Weird Science-Fantasy v3 #6. This issue also includes artwork by Joe Orlando, Jack Kamen and Reed Crandall. Cover bu Al Feldstein. This is 4 of 5 Weird Science-Fantasy issues by Williamson and 6 of 7 Weird Science-Fantasy issues by Wood.
