Amazing Spider-man #11 - Steve Ditko art & cover

Steve Ditko
Amazing Spider-man v1 #11, 1964 - Betty Brant and her brother get mixed up with a notorious gangster, who in turn partners up with Doctor Octopus. Steve Ditko adheres to a six panel grid on the majority of pages, making some of the sequencing monotonous. His drawings, however, continue to evolve for the better. Spidey's battle on board a steamship provides more interesting shapes and viewpoints. Ditko's cover makes good use of the remaining space not occupied by text. This is number 11 of 38 Amazing Spider-man issues with Ditko art and/or covers.
