Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #39 - Carl Barks art

Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #39
Walt Disney's Comics and Stories v1 #39, 1943 - When his nephews fail to sell some new products, Donald Duck shows them what real salesmanship is. He endures more than a few punishments as he tries to enter the home of the town recluse. Carl Barks' penchant for hilarious situations is evident here. His drawings are wildly expressive and almost in constant motion. Like much of his work, faces and figures are stretched and shaped for maximum effect. Other characters featured in this issue include Mickey Mouse and Bucky Bug. Other artists in this golden age comic include Al Taliaferro. This is 8 of 280 Walt Disney's Comics and Stories issues by Barks.

Donald looks like he's walking on a white blanket on the cover (see right foot). Could it be that the artist never experienced real snow?
