The Hawk v1 #11, 1955 - Against a richly colored backdrop, the Hawk stands over his foe in the aftermath of a gunfight. A US Mail satchel and a rifle lies nearby, suggesting a robbery. Matt Baker's cover is both dramatic and memorable. He conveniently frames the hero with surrounding rock formations, while distant cliffs provide distance and depth.
