Dorothy Lamour #2 - Wally Wood art

Dorothy Lamour #2
Dorothy Lamour (Jungle Princess) v1 #2, 1950 - One of his earliest works, Wally Wood draws several of the movie star’s jungle adventures. The artwork is painfully amateurish, from the figure drawings to the page layouts. Many panels have minimal backgrounds or no backgrounds at all. His opening splash (a duotone on the inside front cover) has the most detail and is easily the most professional looking page in the book. Still, it’s hard to imagine Wood’s artwork being any worse. The issue includes photos of Dorothy Lamour on both the front and back covers. This is 1 of 2 Dorothy Lamour issues by Wood.

Are any of these stories signed? It's hard to believe this is actually Wood, though I guess we all need to start somewhere.

My sources do confirm it. As primitive as it looks though, it's distinctively Woody.
