Wonder Comics v2 #17 - Frank Frazetta art

Wonder Comics v2 #17, 1948 - Two early Frank Frazetta works reside in this issue, both providing inks over other artists' pencils. The lead Wonderman tale opens with a splash page of attacking dinosaurs. The artist's hand is evident in the cross-hatches of their textured skin. Elsewhere, Frazetta asserts himself in most of the main character faces. Similarly, the artist adds much needed depth and shading to Jill Trent, Science Sleuth. Much of it is overdone, but the opening page (see interior page below) showcases Frazetta's penchant for detail. Other artists in this issue include Gene Fawcette and Al Camy. Cover by Alex Schomburg. This is 1 of 3 Wonder Comics v2 issues by Frazetta.
