Adventures into the Unknown #116, 1960 - An anthropologist travels to the remote Idaho mountains in search of a hundred year old serpent cult. This brief tale showcases Al Williamson's realistic rendering style, whether in facial close-ups or wilderness backgrounds. Angelo Torres' inks are tight and concise. Their most intriguing image is the Merlin-like wizard on the first page, which oddly enough, has little to do with the story. Other artists in this issue include Paul Reinman, John Forte, Kurt Schaffenberger and Ogden Whitney (cover).
