Balder the Brave #1 - Walt Simonson cover, mis-attributed art + 1st issue

Walt Simonson
Balder the Brave v1 #1, 1985 - One of the more interesting supporting characters from the series Thor, Balder the Brave solos for the first time in his own limited series. Walt Simonson provides a somewhat busy but splendid cover for the premiere issue, including what seems to be a new (Jack Kirby-inspired?) costume design. Despite comic book guides attributing the story art to Simonson, the story pages are tasked to Sal Buscema. This is 1 of 4 Balder the Brave issues by Simonson. /// key 1st issue

This cover is fantastic, however I think it loses a few points from me due to the awkward positioning of Balder's right leg/knee.
