Adventure Into Mystery #8 - Angelo Torres art

Adventure Into Mystery #8, 1957 - A fine artist's hatred for his longtime nemesis leads to the creation of life-like painting. The roomy opening panel by Angelo Torres seems a bit too minimalist. His loose linework, particularly the two characters' faces, looks nearly unfinished. The remaining pages are clearer and tighter in their execution, but overall this tale is far from his best work. An early Dick Giordano story appears later in the book, drawn with the precise inking that would later win industry accolades. Other artists in this issue include Carmine Infantino, Ruben Moreira, George Woodbridge, Robert Q. Sale and John Severin (cover). This is number 2 of 2 Adventure Into Mystery issues with Torres art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Torres or Adventure Into Mystery issues. See also this blog's Angelo Torres checklist.
