Gunsmoke v2 #11 - Al Williamson art

Gunsmoke v2 #11
Gunsmoke v2 #11, 1958 - Though the two main stories feature Marshall Matt Dillon, the shorter "True Tales of Dodge City" outshines them both artistically. Al Williamson's drawings display a high level of draftsmanship. On page two, his depictions of the mule-headed Dirty Face Jones (see interior page below) have a gritty realism well-suited for the character. Toward the end of his run on this golden age series, Williamson continues to impress. This is 4 of 5 Gunsmoke issues by Williamson.
