Gunsmoke v2 #8 - Al Williamson art

Gunsmoke v2 #8
Gunsmoke v2 #8, 1958 - Sandwiched between the two main stories, "True Tales of Dodge City" was a recurring featurette that started with the previous issue. Al Williamson begins illustrating these stand-alone tales, raising the level of draftsmanship. Told in documentary style narration, most pages are devoid of word balloons, allowing the artist more space for visuals. Each scene is drawn clearly and concisely with just a touch of Williamson's painterly flair. Photo cover. This is 1 of 5 Gunsmoke issues by Williamson.

This looks more like Reed Crandall. If Williamson signed it then Crandall must have been at the very least the inker.

Oops. Put the wrong interior page by mistake. Just posted the replacement, and you can see it's all Williamson.
