Rawhide Kid #16 - Angelo Torres art

Rawhide Kid #16, 1957 - In the middle of a heist, a bank robber leaves his partner behind, only to be tracked down by a tenacious deputy. Angelo Torres does a admirable job, especially on the large opening panel. He captures the exact moment when the robbery goes awry: just as a thief's horse buckles beneath him.  The broken branch in the foreground may be a metaphor or just a superfluous addition to the scene. Other artists in this issue include Dick Ayers. This is number 1 of 1 Rawhide Kid issues with Torres art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Torres or Rawhide Kid issues.
