Tales of the Mysterious Traveler #4 - Steve Ditko art & cover

Tales of the Mysterious Traveler #4, 1957 - The trenchcoat-clad host stands on a street corner while wafting pages convey the issue's contents. His own face is repeated on the background poster, adding anther element of interest. Ditko's cover drawing and layout is among his best of the series. The interior contains four of his stories, all playing with layout and pacing but varying sizes and placement of panels. Issue highlights include the well drawn opening pages to the first two stories, and finely rendered panel of marauding arabs on horseback in the final tale. This is number 3 of 11 Tales of the Mysterious Traveler issues with Ditko art and/or covers (not including reprints). See today's posts or more Ditko or Tales of the Mysterious Traveler issues.
