Daredevil #107 - Jim Starlin cover

Daredevil v1 #107 marvel comic book cover art by Jim Starlin
Jim Starlin
Daredevil v1 #107, 1973 - A mindless colossus merges with a human being, forcing its will upon San Francisco. Captain Marvel joins Daredevil and the Black Widow to meet this threat. Jim Starlin, Cap's series artist at the time, pencils this cover touting the guest appearance. Although better than the interior art, Starlin's cover seems hurried and convoluted. Interestingly, the Black Widow's face also appears to have been altered (perhaps by John Romita). Also, Thanos makes a cameo appearance. Other artists in this bronze age comic include Bob Brown and Sal Buscema. This is 2 of 2 Daredevil issues by Starlin.

Ok this is a bit of a mish mosh cover. I'm willing to go with Sinnott on the large monster, but I wouldn't be surprised if Jim had just inked Mar-Vell himself. I would certainly put money (not a lot, but money) on Matt Murdock and BW being romita's raiders. The brushwork on the widow clearly looks like a Romita piece, and matt's clothing is darkened in a way the smooths over the fact that there is pretty much no recognizable rendering on the suit.

my 2 cents as a huge starlin fan from that period. I wonder who owns this piece now?
